Why play Therapy??!!

We utilize play therapy to help children manage the impact of their mental health symptoms, overwhelming emotions, challenges, and difficult life transitions by working to foster their own innate abilities, strengths, and desire for healing. We provide support to parents and caregivers so that they can better care for themselves, their children, and family. We desire for your whole family to receive the services necessary for growth and change to move forward with success and hope.

Michelle and Jamie are Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists in the State of Washington, as well as Registered Play Therapists; meeting all requirements set by the Association for Play Therapy. Both have completed a certificate in Play Therapy through Antioch University Seattle Play Therapy Center, received supervision from a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and completed significant training hours in play therapy in order to receive this credential. Together we draw from our many experiences working with children and families in community mental health agencies in the office setting, schools, and home visits, a residential treatment facility, a therapeutic childcare center, transitional housing programs for homeless families, and several different therapeutic camps.
